Hazel Johnson

Hazel Johnson, age 91, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Hazel was born on January 29, 1927 in Gatesville, Texas to the late Henry Chappell and Cornelius Kelly Chappell. She worked for the Texas Youth Council and private home care. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Keran Seale; three grandchildren, David Anthony Seale, Jr., Tiana Keran Seale, and Hope Shere Seale; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and very devoted friends, Charles and Mary Alice Wise. The Johnson-Seale family would like to give special thanks to Mertis Humphrey and Rena Williams for their love and kindness, and also Scott and White Hospice.
