Minnie I. Spitzenberger

Minnie Ida Spitzenberger, age 93, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at a local hospital. Services are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery near Ireland. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Minnie was born August 24, 1916 in Shive, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Christian and Wilhelmine Peters Spitzenberger. She attended school in Aleman and Ireland. She loved country living. Surrounded by the love of God and the beauty of nature she remained on the farm and ranch and became a partner in the operations. Minnie worked hard tending the ranch and feeding from sixty to seventy head of cattle. She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She will be deeply missed by adopted family and close friends.
