Janice G. Green

Janice Gayle Green, 85, of Gatesville passed away in Hamilton on May 29, 2010. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Post Oak Cemetery in Olgesby. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday at Scott’s Funeral Home. Janice was born on September 19, 1924 in Gatesville to the late Willard and Ethel Ray Mayes. She grew up and attended school in Gatesville. Janice married Wilson Price Green in 1941 in Junction, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2002. She received her LVN license and worked as a nurse for a numbers of years in various hospitals in the area. Janice was very active in the East Main Church of Christ until her health began to fail. She is also preceded in death by an infant son, David Green. Janice is survived by her children, Donald Green, Gary Green, Carolyn Zapata, Jo Fieseler, Patti Mason; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a special cousin, Elizabeth Lengefeld. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Main Church of Christ.
