Francis M. Miller

Francis M. Miller, 95, of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Temple. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Scott’s Funeral Home with burial following at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Francis was born on September 1, 1914 in Gatesville to the late George and Catherine Allen Miller. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1934. During WWII he joined the Army and served in the Aleutian Island for 3 years. Francis married Rosa Belle Williams on January 1, 1948 in Gatesville and they were lifelong members of the First United Methodist Church of Gatesville. He worked for over 30 years at Jim Miller Army Store. He loved to garden and enjoyed keeping up the Texas Rangers. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosa Belle Miller; son, David Miller of Gatesville; daughter, Calissa Worthy and husband Cliff of Leander; grandchildren, Christopher Miller, Crystal Jeffcoat, Timothy Worthy and Keri Worthy and 3 great grandchildren.
