Inez Geneva Carley

Inez Geneva Carley, age 81, of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday July 17, 2010 surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Live Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Barclay officiating. Geneva was born on September 10, 1928 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Caby Leemon and Issie A. Hames Cantrell. She married Lawrence Carley in Tampa, Florida on February 9, 1947, celebrating 63 years of marriage this year. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family. She was a member of live Oak Baptist Church, where she faithfully served the Lord. She loved to sing and was a member of the church choir and the Singing 60’s. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 granddaughter, Melody Palmer. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Carley of Gatesville; son, Dwayne Carley and wife Alane; daughters, Linda Ash, and Sandra Palmer and husband Bill of Gatesville; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Laverle Curtis of Tampa, Florida. The family has requested that memorials be made to Live Oak Baptist Church.
