Charles (Buck) Riley Lee, Jr., age 78, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at a Temple hospital. Graveside Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, Texas. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, Texas. Charles was born August 5, 1931 in Montague County, Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Riley Lee, Sr. and Dora Jeanette Singleton Lee. Charles was raised and attended school in Montague County, Texas. Charles graduated from Ringgold High School in 1950 and then entered the Marine Corp, serving from 1951 to 1952. Charles was among 2000 Marines taking part in the largest series of atomic tests at the Atomic Energy Commission Proving Grounds. He was a truck driver for Red Arrow Freight for 28 years. Charles was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Charles was preceded in death by a sister, Iris Tucker. Charles is survived by daughters, Nancy Botkin and husband Kyle of Flat, TX, Brenda Underwood and husband Vance of Plover, WI and Renae Mohler and fiancé Jarrod Robertson of Houston, TX; son, Tim Lee and wife D’Ann of West, TX; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
