Osvaldo Cardenas Robles

Osvaldo Cardenas Robles, age 80, of Gatesville, passed away on September 5, 2010 at a Temple hospital. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 7th at Scott’s Funeral Home. Mr. Robles was born on April 12, 1930 in Crystal City, Texas to the late Juan and Agueda Cardenas Robles. He married Maria Herlinda Martinez on April 9, 1951. They have lived in the Gatesville community since 1965. Mr. Robles was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Juan Robles and Jose Maria Robles; a son, Juan Manuel Robles; 2 daughters, Guadalupe (Lupita) Robles and Teresa (Teresita) Robles; and 2 granddaughters, Erika Marie Robles and Angelita Meza. Mr. Robles is survived by his wife, Maria Herlinda Martinez Robles of Gatesville; sons, Benjamin Robles and wife Araceli of Ft. Worth, Osvaldo Robles, Jr and wife Blanca of Alvarado, and Ramiro (Joe) Robles and wife Gail of Gatesville; daughters, Sylvia Cuellar and husband Carlos of Gatesville, Maria Mejia and husband Crispin of Gatesville, Guadalupe Meza and husband Macario of Ft. Worth, and Rosario Zuniga and husband Javier of Gatesville; brothers, Gilberto Robles of Del Rio, Flavio Robles of Austin, Alfredo Robles of Gatesville, Salvador Robles of Houston, Benjamin Robles of Dallas, and Alejandro Robles of Cleburne; sisters, Lydia Guardiola of Del Rio, Guadalupe Esquivel of Lubbock, and Diamentina Perez of Dallas; 22 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 future great-great grandson that will arrive in October.
