Ricky Garland Hancock

Ricky G. Hancock, 61, of Temple, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 in a Temple Nursing Facility. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 15, 2010 at Scott’s Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mound Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled. Ricky was born in Leon Junction, Texas on December 12, 1948 to J.W. and Katherine Bragewitz Hancock. He attended school in Flat before his family moved to California. After high school he enrolled in the United States Army and proudly served during the Vietnam Conflict. He served for 23 years in active duty and in the reserves working at Mates at North Ft. Hood. Ricky is survived by his sons, Cody Garland Hancock and Dakota Jake Hancock; sisters, Mary Ann Schafer and husband, Chester, Dorothy Marie Yates and husband Paul; brothers, Kenneth Dwaine Hancock and wife Barbara, John Franklin Hancock; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 2626 South 37th Street, Temple, TX 76504.
