Florene (Wood) Parrish Keeton

Florene (Wood) Parrish, Keeton, age 91 of Gatesville, passed away on November 24, 2010 at a local nursing center. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Keeton was born on April 3, 1919 in Moran, TX to the late Roy Coleman and Gracie Bullard Wood. She married Wallace Hill Parrish on October 24, 1936. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1967. She married Grady Francis Keeton on November 21, 1974. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2003. Mrs. Keeton was a member of the Ohio Baptist Church. She attended the Pearl Church of Christ with her husband Grady all of their married life, and continued to attend as long as she was able. She was the Owner and Manager of the Purmela Lone Star Café for 7 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brothers, Thurman Wood, R.G. Wood, Leamon Wood, Billy Wood, and Quinn Wood, 8 nieces and nephews, 4 brothers-in-law, and 6 sisters-in-law. Mrs. Keeton is survived by children, Wallace Wayne Parrish and wife Dolly of Proctor, TX, Delores Kathleen Bynum and husband Donald of Allen, TX, Penyson Hill Parrish and wife Dena of Oglesby, TX; step children, Kathy Jo Severs and husband Steve of Gatesville and Gary Keeton and wife Debbie of Mound, TX; sisters, Equilla Hedgpeth, Lurlene Lawver, Linda Harris, and Geraldene Huston; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 5 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law.
