Ruth Pearl Ford

Ruth Pearl Ford, age 87, of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010. A private Graveside Service will be held at the Pidcoke Cemetery for the immediate family. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ruth’s life with food and fellowship on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 5-7:00 P.M. at Coryell Community Church. Ruth was born on May 14, 1923 in Coryell County, Texas to the late Walter and Vada Lofland Ussery. She was married to Jack M. Ford for 59 years. He preceded her in death in 1997. She and Jack lived, and worked cattle, on their ranch in Pidcoke for many years. She loved to cook and entertain. She was a member of the Pidcoke Baptist Church. Ruth is survived by her children, William M. Ford and Bonnie Roberts; her grandchildren, Jackie Ford, Mandy Melton, Bart Roberts and Burt Roberts and wife Kristi; and 7 great grandchildren. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that lasting memorials be made to the Coryell Community Church Youth Building Fund.
