Ace Herrmann Millsap

Ace Herrmann Millsap, age 88, of Laguna Park, Texas, passed away February 4, 2025. Graveside services will be held on February 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Slater Cemetery.

Ace was born on July 21, 1936, in Purmela, Texas. Ace was the son of William Cross Millsap, Sr. and Edith Ophelia Herrmann Millsap. He graduated from Evant High School before serving his country in the the United States Army. 

Ace was a man of unwavering honesty and strength- stern when he needed to be; but always guided by a deep love for his family. He believed in hard work, integrity, and doing what was right, values he instilled in those who knew him best.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Millsap; siblings, William Cross Millsap, Jr., Darwin Vernon Millsap, Billy Michael Millsap, Arlene Bernice Powell, and Oreon Pauline Williams; daughter-in-law, Christine Michelle Millsap; and grandsons Mark Millsap and Matthew Millsap.

Ace leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his siblings Emma Clara Dyer and Thelbert Millsap; and sister-in-law Rose Lopez. His legacy lives on through his children Kathy Millsap, Donna Millsap, and Kenneth Millsap, as well as his grandchildren, Kami Isaacks, Zachary Bond, Kenlye Altum, Justin Lara, Kayla Fisher, Cody Fisher, David Cobb, Nina Robuck, and Corey Currence. He was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
