Alice A. (Hooker) Breckenridge, age 61 of Gatesville, went to be with the Lord on the evening of February 9, 2019, while residing at Crestview of Waco after a long struggle of heart and diabetic disease. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home chapel. Alice A. (Hooker) Breckenridge was born in San Angelo, TX on September 12, 1957 to the late Roy Lee Hooker Sr. and Vivian Gertrude Doss. She grew up and attended school in Gatesville. Alice was devoted to her family, she loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was a strong, independent, out spoken woman. She had an adventurous spirit. She loved to read and travel. Alice was a waitress for many, many years. She loved being around people. She was loved and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Breckenridge; her parents; sister, ReNelda Hooker McGehee; and several nieces and nephews and Grandparents. Alice is survived by her daughter, Judy Boose; sons Christopher Breckenridge and Joshua Breckenridge and wife ShaRe; grandchildren, Ethan, Alex, Madelyn, Isabella, Lyla, and Raelynn Breckenridge, Brandon Janssen and wife Hunter and Brian Janssen and wife Shelby; Abigail and Emily Boose, and Tristan; mother Bettie Hooker; sisters, Vivian Moore, Belinda Chasteen and husband Troy, Thelma Gumbert and husband Mike of Ingram, TX, Cheryll Baker of St. Amant, LA, Connie Lee and husband Chuck, and Mary Breshears and husband Thomas; brothers, Roy Lee Hooker Jr. and wife Sheila of Mound, TX, Larry Brown and wife Jeanna of Kerrville, TX, and Robert Brown and wife Sue of WA.
