Andrew "Andy" Jones

The family of Andrew “Andy” Jones of Gatesville are heartbroken to announce his tragic and unexpected passing on September 1, 2021 at the age of 34. Andy loved his friends and family fiercely. He enjoyed his motorcycle, computer games, and always had everyone around smiling and laughing. He was a great man, and it was a privilege for anyone who knew him, he was a man of his word and never let a friend down. He would give you the shirt off of his back and go without, he just wanted to see people happy. There could not have been a better soul to be taken at such a young age. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. We have all been left with a huge void in our hearts that will now have to treasure our precious memories with him. We love you so much, and will hold you dear until we get to be together again in Heaven.

Memorial Services will be held 2 PM Friday, September 10, 2021 at Scott’s Funeral Home.   

Andy was born on October 9, 1986 in Abilene, Texas to Suzzanne Lam and Michael Jones.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marti Osborne and Charles Jones, Loyd and Ellen Ann Lam.

Andy is survived by his parents; sisters, Julie Jones Horan and husband, William “Bill” and Ashley Zamarripa; brother, Dalton Olson; nephew, Blake Bond; nieces, Leila Bond, Zoe and Zaida Zamarripa; multiple cousins, and plenty of “family” members he had chosen for himself. You know who you are. And you know he loved you as well.
