Angela A. Morphet

Angela Morphet, age 50 of Gatesville, passed away on the evening of August 29, 2021.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flint Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.

Angela was born on August 20, 1971 in Abilene, TX to Darrell W. Fisher and Sonda Barbee Fisher. She moved with her family to Pennsylvania and lived as a child before moving back to Texas. Angela attended and graduated from Gatesville High School. She worked several jobs while raising her children before she found her niche as a social worker. Angela worked for Indigent Health as a social worker for almost 20 years. Her niche of caring for others carried over into everyday life. Angela was a helper to anyone in the community that needed a hand.  She loved spending time working in her garden and crocheting. What brought Angela the most joy in life was her family. Be it weekly sporting events or family trips to the beach, she was the happiest during these times. Angela was also known to slip-off and go fishing when she could get the chance.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Angela is survived by her loving spouse, Bates Donaldson; daughters, Tasha McGehee and husband, Cody, Cassandra Morphet; sons, Taylor Donaldson and fiancé, Jackie Saunders, Brandon Donaldson and wife, Laci; father, Darrell Fisher; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Daryl Morris, Melissa Lancaster and Tina Rhodes; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
