Annissa Brown Cosentino

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Annissa Brown Cosentino on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the age of 47, in Plano, Texas. 

Annissa was born on November 9, 1977, to Robert Brown and the late Shirley Brown in Gatesville, where she also was raised. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and the University of North Texas with a Master of Science in Library Science. She dedicated her life to her daughters Ava, Leah, and Jessa Cosentino. 

Annissa found joy in teaching, singing, dancing, and cooking. Her wittiness, beautiful smile, and strong personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Harden Brown, and brother Robert Lewis Brown III (Trey). 

Annissa is survived by her children, Ava Rose Cosentino, Leah Gabrielle Cosentino, and Jessa Kaiya Cosentino; their father, Michel Richard Cosentino; her father, Robert Brown and his wife Debra; sisters, Misti Maag and Doree Collins; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. 

Celebration services of Annissa’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, with Pastor Mike Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Gatesville. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. for the family.

Annissa was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend to all who knew her, and she will be forever loved and missed.
