Antonio "Tony" Aranda

Antonio “Tony” Aranda, age 74, of Gatesville passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville.

Tony was born on August 29, 1945 in San Antonio, TX to the late Albert Flores and Elva Sanchez Aranda. He grew up in San Marcos and graduated high school in 1963. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corp Reserves. He dedicated seven years of his life to the Marines. Tony moved to Austin where he dedicated his life to helping people in sales. He met Patty in 1986 and they married August 15, 1992 in Austin. In 1993, they moved back to San Marcos and lived there for 17 years before moving to Gatesville in 2012. Tony was active in the Lutheran Church and later attended First Baptist Church in Gatesville. He was meticulous in keeping his yard, pool and car in pristine condition. Tony was dedicated to his wife, the Dallas Cowboys and while he was still able, loved to play pool in his spare time.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert Aranda, Jr. and an aunt, Vicki Vance.

Tony is survived by his wife, Patty Aranda; step-children, Patrick Reeves, Robert Reeves and wife, Osbeida, Dawn Stovall and husband, Jude, Charity Savage and wife, Stephanie; sons, Eric Aranda, Marc Aranda, Andre Aranda; sister, Betty Hernandez and husband, David; brother, Henry Aranda and wife, Vicky; numerous grandchildren; one great granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in Tony’s name.
