Audrey "Sue" Gartman Little

Audrey “Sue” Gartman Little, age 67of Gatesville, passed away on the evening of November 6, 2021 in Waco, Texas. Services are scheduled for Monday, November 15, 2021 at 2 PM at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Pidcoke Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service. Sue was born on February 4, 1954 to the late Aubrey Doyle Gartman and Jessie Faye Pendleton Gartman. Sue was raised in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School. She then went to Baylor and obtained her BBA from the Hankamer School of Business in 1976. Sue became secretary to the Dean of the Business School where she worked a short time before becoming a Medical Records Administrator and Quality Assurance Coordinator at hospitals in Dallas, Houston and Waco. Upon moving to Gatesville, she started working as secretary to the Coryell County Attorney where she worked for nineteen years before retiring. After retirement, Sue could not sit at home. So, she went and found a job as a cashier at Wal-Mart. Sue loved growing up on her parents’ place. She learned her faith in God through their teaching, the land and the animals they raised. She enjoyed horseback riding, bicycling, fishing with her mother and going lamb buying with her father. Sue also loved her mother’s piano playing and her father singing gospel songs as he worked about the place. One of Sue’s greatest moments was when her daughter was born, the other was when she married her husband, Wes. She was preceded in death by her parents., Sue is survived by her husband of 37 years, Wes Little; daughter, Laura Little and numerous cousins.
