Barbara Louise Davis

Barbara Louise Davis, age 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from natural causes at The Meadows at Coryell Health in Gatesville, Texas.

She was born March 8, 1925 in Newton, Massachusetts to Lester and Emma Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carolyn McGrath.

Barbara worked as Chief Lab Technician at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA, where she was responsible for a blood bank in the greater Boston metropolitan area.

She was an avid reader who loved Nicholas Sparks novels and solving crossword puzzles. Having traveled the globe, Barbara visited Europe, Asia, Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean. She resided in Rockport, MA, upon her retirement and was a snowbird until 2006, when she permanently relocated to Gatesville, TX, to be closer to her beloved family.

Barbara was surrounded by four generations of adoring nieces and nephews. Survivors include Sandra and William Robinette, Sr. of Gatesville; Donald Hugh McGrath of Bangor, Maine; Mark and Vicki Robinette, Sr., Lourie Ann Terry, and William and Tammie Robinette, Jr. all of Gatesville; April and Paul Ciccarello of League City, Texas. She was the ultimate prankster along with her wisecracking great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

The family wishes to thank the numerous nurses, aides, and medical staff who also cared for her. In October 2020, Barbara's life will be celebrated in a private memorial service at Beach Grove family cemetery in Rockport, MA.
