Barbara (Kerby) Tennison

Barbara Tennison, age 77 of Red Oak, went to be with her heavenly family on the morning of August 30, 2019.  Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will folow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Barbara was born on July 24, 1942 in Abilene, TX to the late Henry and Gladys Kerby.  She grew up and attended school in Gatesville.  Barbara married Ben Tennison on September 19, 1959 in Gatesville. They moved to Red Oak in March of 1970. There they spent another 44 years together before Ben passed on in April of 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 56 years, Ben Tennison and her parents.

Barbara is survived by her two sons, Bo Tennison and wife, Carolyn, and Wade Tennison and wife, Amy; nine grandchildren, Brenda, Bryan, Chris, Danielle, Jenny, Emily, Noah, Josh and Christian; five great-grandchildren, Bryna, Mila, Caden, Landon and Maisie; sister, Brenda Helms and husband, Jerry; and many nieces and nephews.
