The Gates of Heaven opened on the 27th of December 2024, and brought home another angel, Beverly Nan (Bowden) Gill. She left this world peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Graveside services, under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn, North Dakota, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Regan Cemetery, located in Regan, North Dakota.
Beverly was born on October 6, 1939, to Ethel and Milton Bowden in Electra, Texas. She was an active clarinet player in the high school’s band and enjoyed singing in the choir.
When she met the love of her life on New Years in California, the sparks flew. Beverly married Dale Gill on January 4, 1963, in Clark County, Nevada. She and Dale made their home in Regan, North Dakota, where they worked the family farm, and had two beautiful children. Beverly had a love of baking and sewing and was always doing little hobbies. She also loved snowmobile riding. Her passion for helping others led her into the medical field where she became an EMT and then later as she entered the nursing profession.
There was a strength and fire of life that was shown in all she did. Her love of beauty and simple pleasures kept her life simple yet very full.
Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Gill; her parents; sister Barbara (Bowden) Lowe; and brother, Tony Bowden.
Beverly’s legacy lives on in her family; daughter, Diane Coble and husband, Scott; son, Byran Gill and wife, Mary; adopted daughter, Sara Petroni and husband, Paul; sister, Gaytha Isham; grandchildren, Dustin Coble, Crystal Corvino and husband Nikie, Brandon Domonoske, and Christopher Gill; and great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Weston, Blake and Presley Coble.
Beverly's family would like to give a special thank you to her caregivers from The Meadows at Coryell Health, and to Bluebonnet Hospice for assisting in her care.
Arrangements in Texas made by Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, with a private family prayer at casket closing.
