Billy Gayle Shoemaker

Billy Gayle Shoemaker, age 78 of Reagan, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Providence Hospice in Waco. Private Graveside Services were held at Pidcoke Cemetery on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Billy Gayle was born on May 8, 1942 in Brownwood, Texas to the late W.T. (Bill) and Maurine Bryson Shoemaker. He attended school in Gatesville. He married the love of his life, Pamela Wittie, and spent 60 years together. He worked as an electrician for years along with farming and ranching. Billy Gayle and Pamela worked along side one another on the farm and ranch their entire married life. Billy Gayle enjoyed designing and building his own working pens. He always had a project going in his shop to improve his working facilities and equipment. Billy Gayle loved working with his hands, being outside, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Pamela of 60 years, three children; son James Shoemaker and Regine Stanevich; two daughters, Kim Johnson and husband, Roy, and Krista Sellers. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Shoemaker and wife, Susie; along with his grandchildren, Jamie Jackson, Ashton Hinton and husband, Wyatt, Rachel Johnson and husband, Dylan and Tyler Sellers and wife, Madalynn, and 6 great grandchildren. The family requests memorials be made to Pidcoke Cemetery or American Cancer Society.
