Birdie (Tiney) Kelley

Birdie (Tiney) Kelley, age 64, of Gatesville, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, March 3, 2018.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Scott’s Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018.   Tiney was born on September 15, 1953 in Denton, TX to the late Bill W. McCloud and Lena Riley.  She attended school in Granbury, TX.   She married Rocky (R.C.) Kelley on April 27, 1973, in Glen Rose, Texas.  They enjoyed 44 years of marriage together.  Tiney was a Godly woman.  Her door was always open and she would give the clothes off her back to anyone in need.  She never judged anyone and was very loving.  Her grandchildren were her world.    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.C. Kelley, in 2017; grandchildren, Michael Kelley and Gabriell Kirkland; sisters, Velma, Faye, Betty Joe, Betty May; and brother, Billy Jr.   Tiney is survived by her daughters, Tina Ortega and husband, Nicholas, Misty Kelley, Ashley Kelley, all of Gatesville, and Paula Tallent and husband, Felix of Oklahoma; sister, Melba and husband, Ray of Mineral Wells; brother, William (W.D.) McCloud and wife, Paula; grandchildren, Nicole and husband, Ronnie, Amy, Kim, Nicholas and wife, Heidi, Donnika, Megan and husband, Blake, Amber, Brian, Jordan, Alexis, Dominik, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Casey, Gabriel, Chelsea, Allysa, Jared, Izzy, Lucas, and Daniel; and many nieces and nephews.
