Blanca Estela Gonzalez

Blanca Estela Gonzalez, age 68 of Gatesville, passed away on May 8, 2024. 

Private services will be held for the immediate family. The family asks that others pray a rosary on her behalf. 

Blanca was born on December 20, 1955, to Julian Tarango and Porfiria Alvarado in La Noria, Chihuahua, Mexico. Blanca grew up in Chihuahua and later moved to Juarez. On February 4, 1975, Blanca married Rolando Carlos Gonzalez, her soulmate, and they made their home in El Paso, Texas, while Rolando served in the United States Army. During their time in the military, they were stationed in Germany, Fort Huachuca, Arizona and Fort Bliss, Texas. Blanca and Rolando raised their three girls in El Paso where they eventually retired. 

Blanca will be remembered for her caring and loving spirit and dedication to raising her three children and granddaughter, Jasmine. Blanca loved horses and dogs, especially her dog Bebe who was her emotional support for 13 years. During their time in the military, Blanca was recognized as an exemplary military wife. 

Blanca is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rolando Gonzalez; daughter, Juana Estela Gonzalez; sister, Luzelena Tarango; and brother, Victor Manuel Tarango. 

Blanca is survived by her oldest sister, Ramona Tarango; daughters, Maria De Los Angeles Gonzalez (Brad), and Julie Ann Gonzalez; grandchildren, Victoria Isabel Gonzalez, Trinity Faith Blair (Deven), Jasmine Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Julian Hoyos, Roland Michael Bowen, and Esmeralda Dianaly Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Aurora Rose Blair and Elijah Albert Blair; and niece, Angelica Maria Tarango.
