Cammie Jo Gesick, age 75, of Gatesville went to be with her Lord on Sunday evening in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home. She was born on November 16, 1943, in San Antonio, TX, to Joseph and Lamonte Williams Hendricks, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi and later Greenbrier Jr. College in Lewisburg, WV. She loved doing crafts with her grandchildren, reading good books, and spending time with her pets. (Of which there were many) She worked for over 28 years for the State of Texas as a social worker. Cammie Jo moved to Gatesville in 1999 to be close to her three sons Travis, Jason, and Joe Nolte. The boys asked her to move here from her home in San Antonio, TX, so that they could better care for her when the time came when she would need it. As a single mom, she raised all three boys on her own and sooner or later it would be their privilege to return the favor of caring for her. Once here, she found a wonderful church home in FBC Flat where she taught a women’s Sunday School class for several years. She also led a women’s Bible Study fellowship in her home for several years. She was a very caring and loving woman who found great joy in helping and serving other women who had difficulties in their lives. She will be greatly missed by many in the community. Cammie was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Shiloh Nolte. Cammie is survived by three sons and their wives, Travis and Tina Nolte of Gatesville, Jason and Mary Nolte of Granbury, and Joe and Sharon Nolte of Granbury; three sisters, Olive Peralta of Gatesville, Charlie Garrett of Houston, and Kathryn Skinner of Gatesville; 18 grandchildren: Talethia Bogart, Finus Nolte, Fahron Nolte, Treston Nolte, Bill Nolte, Faith Bednarz, Teaguen Nolte, Joseph Nolte, T’Ana Nolte, Ariel Featherston, Phage Nolte, Josiah Nolte, Selah Nolte, and Jacob Nolte, Jordan Stern, Hannah Knox, J D Nolte, and Rebekah Nolte; and 11 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Mission Board at give.imb.org or at P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230-0767. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort…because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” 2 Cor. 1:3, Rom. 10:9
