Carolyn Arlene Ortiz

Carolyn Ortiz, age 64 of Lindale, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Carolyn Arlene Ortiz was born on June 26, 1960 to the late Arlon Mitchell Sr. and Margaret Garza Mitchell in Waco, Texas. She grew up and attended school in both Waco and Paducah, Kentucky. She married Benjamin Ortiz and the couple made their home in Dallas, spending 30 years together. Carolyn was a very spiritual woman who loved God. She also enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. She was a great cook and loved to watch Dallas Cowboy football. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benjamin Ortiz, and brother, Paul Watkins.

Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Vickie Wells, and Pat Benjamin and husband, Wayne; brothers, Michael Watkins and wife, JJ, and Russell Templin; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
