Carolyn Sue Stone

Carolyn Stone, age 81 of Gatesville, passed away on the evening of September 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Rev. Wray Nunn officiating. Burial will follow at Restland cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.

Carolyn was born on December 22, 1939 in Cardin, OK to the late Jewel P. and Alameda Coleman Anderson. She was a member of the Gatesville Revival Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Truitt Stone Sr.; daughter, Jackie Lynn Hinton; son, Gregg T. Stone Sr.; and granddaughter, Cynthia (Punky) Stone.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, George Stone Jr., Glenn Stone and wife, Sherry, Gerald Stone and wife, Teresa, Gene Stone, Gary Stone and wife, Amber; daughters, Lynda Owen and husband, Bobby, Susan DeBaun and husband, Billy; sister, Frela Walden; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Carolyn’s greatest love was her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the most important thing to her was that all her loved ones meet her in heaven one day.
