Brian Christopher Forrest’s work was done on this earth and God called him home on Tuesday, January 24, 2024.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Weaver Chapel Cemetery with James Baize officiating. Christopher’s family will receive visitors at Scott's Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the same day as the service.
Christopher was born in Bryan, Texas, on April 18, 1982, to Robert Forrest and Karen Forrest Turner. He graduated from high school in Belton, Texas, in 2000. Christopher worked in the Belton-Temple area for several years and attended Mary Hardin Baylor for a time. Then he found his true calling—culinary arts. He then went to Denver, Colorado, and attended school at Johnson & Wales, graduating with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management with an emphasis in Culinary Arts.
Cooking was his passion; and professionally, he was a phenomenal chef. Christopher was blessed to have worked in many interesting restaurants in the Denver area, Aspen, and most recently at the Moody Center at the University of Texas.
But Christopher was even more. He was funny and compassionate. He loved gaming and music (not country western). He was concerned about those around him and wanted the best for everyone he knew. He worked hard, adding flavor to his cooking and to the lives of his friends and family. All who knew Christopher loved him.
Christopher is preceded in death by his grandparents, JO and Lucille Forrest of Gatesville and Harold and Margie Broome of San Angelo. He is survived by his father, Robert Forrest of Bryan, Texas, and mother, Karen Forrest Turner, and stepfather, Mike Turner, of Colorado, and his brother, John Forrest, of Gatesville. Also grieving for Chris are his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
If you would like to make a remembrance, instead of flowers, please make a donation to the Weaver Chapel Cemetery, c/o Mike Coward, 3470 CR 108, Gatesville, Texas 76528, or to the charity of your choice.
