Connie Hodges

Connie Hodges, age 63, of Gatesville, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018, at her home in Gatesville.  Services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Flint Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Connie was born July 31, 1955, in Coryell County, Texas to Allen Shelton and Nell Altum Shelton.  She grew up and went to school in Flat and Gatesville.  She married Gary Hodges in 1978.  They resided in Flat most of their married lives.  Connie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Christi Hodges and sister Betty Summers. Connie is survived by her husband, Gary Hodges; children, Sherrie Nichols and husband, Wiley, Tammy Riddle and husband, Brian, Melissa Tull and husband, Stewart, Zachary Hodges and wife, Valorie; grandchildren, Kylie Young and Husband, Brandon, Tye Nichols, Haley Nichols, Rowdy Wood, Cooper Wood, Chesney Riddle, Tatum Basham and Branson Hodges; great grandchildren, Braxton and Briley Young; sisters, Peggy Smith and husband, Michael, Bonnie Webb and husband, Walt; brothers, Preston Shelton, Ricky Shelton and wife, Pam, Eddie Shelton and Billy Shelton; and many nieces and nephews.
