Coreece Estes

Coreece “Reecy” Onstott Estes, age 84 of Houston, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at Live Oak Cemetery with Pastor Matt Dossey officiating.

Coreece was born December 23, 1938 to Charlie Clifford Onstott and Maudie Ethyl Lee Onstott of Hamilton.  She was the 6th of 7 children and was raised in the Ohio Community, down by the Cowhouse Creek, where she was baptized and often reminisced about her childhood, which brought her peace and joy.  She graduated from Evant High School and became an executive secretary for Welex, a division of Halliburton.  She was also a Real Estate Agent and was co-owner of Gold Star, a graphics company, which was located in Houston.  She was a devout Christian.  She loved animals (especially cats), and she loved to spend time arrowhead hunting with her father, her husband, and her daughter.  She was an artist who painted several beautiful portraits and who also made elaborate banners for her Church Christmas pageants.  She maintained her fun and humorous personality throughout her days.  She served her family faithfully and was the glue that held us together.  She was a very classy woman and was constantly learning new skills and talents.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Elbert Estes; sisters, Charlene Onstott Chilton and Patsy Marie Onstott Whatley; and brother Delbert Roy Onstott.

Coreece is survived by her daughter, Christie Lea Martin Davis-Kraemer of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Billy Mack Onstott and wife, Suzanne of Houston, Odus Clyde Onstott and wife, Debbie of Paulden, Arizona; sister, Maudine Onstott Underhill of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jessica Dori Davis Stratton and husband, Brady, Kyle Clifford Davis and wife, Chelsea, Scott Martin Davis and wife, Hannah, and Amy Lea Davis Haynes and husband, Seth, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; great-grandchildren, Cole Davis Stratton, Scarlett Ivy Stratton, Barrett Lange Stratton, Bennett Lee Stratton, Harvey Ryan Haynes, Cooper Otis Haynes, and Baby Girl Haynes, due in September, also all of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces and nephews, Donna Marie Burch Wine of Dallas, Roy Lee Onstott and wife, Linda of Houston, Larry Clifford Whatley and wife, Celesta of Houston, Alvin Lynn Onstott and wife, Diane of Coppell, Terrie Underhill Schweitzer and husband, Rick of Louisville, Kentucky, William Curt Onstott and wife, Sandra of Waller, Gregory Scott Onstott of Kyle, and Kellie Whatley Fenter and husband, Mark of Bulverde.

She would be so honored that each of you as family, cousins, and dear friends have chosen to travel so far to celebrate her life, to feel her love for each of you who helped shape her life and for the knowledge that Jesus Christ is our Lord, our Redeemer, the Savior of our very souls.  We will be resurrected when our time comes and we too will have a glorious reunion with all those whom we love who have gone before us.  Glory to God and we love you, Coreece/Mom and we will always remember you…Until we meet again!
