Crystal Ledet

Crystal Zuniga Ledet, age 39, of Gatesville, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in Waco surrounded by her family. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  The family will receive visitors at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 15^th at Scott’s Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m.  Interment at Restland Cemetery will follow the service on Saturday. 

Crystal Zuniga Ledet, daughter of Javier and Maria Zuniga, was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on May 19, 1984. She spent most of her life in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 2003. She married James Ledet in 2010. Together, they had three children: Nadia Bree, Alina Marie, and Linda-Rae Lia.  Crystal considered her children to be her pride and joy.  She was the happiest when she was around her babies, which included her nieces and nephews. Crystal was a bright light, larger than life, and will be missed by all. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Osvaldo and Maria Robles; grandmother, Martha Zuniga; aunt, Sylvia Cuellar; uncles, Juan and Osvaldo Jr. Robles; and cousins, Erika Robles, Angelita Meza, and Ruben Palomo. 

Crystal is survived by her parents, Javier and Maria Zuniga; husband, James Ledet; daughters, Nadia, Alina, and Linda-Rae; sisters, Maricela Longoria and husband, Alec, Gabriela Williams and husband, Samuel, and Abigail Zuniga and husband, Alec; nephews, Uriah, Arturo, Xander, and Kenneth; and nieces, Alianna, Zaida, and Isabella.
