Darrel Fredrick Hurlburt, 48, of Gatesville, entered into Heaven on Saturday, September 25th, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with details to be determined. Darrel lived for fast cars, loud music, and sometimes inappropriate jokes. He always had a smile on his face and was always working on a new project. Darrel was a jack of all trades who knew a little bit about a whole lot. He was always the first to step up and help those around him. Many knew Darrel as the owner of Custom Car Center in Gatesville. He loved his business and his customers and took pride in the work that he was able to do for others. Darrel spent years mentoring and helping numerous people at his shop teaching them the ways of his trade, as well as lessons on cars and lessons on life. He made many friends through out his years and many would tell you that Darrel was their best friend. It's the truth, he was the best friend that everyone deserves to have. Darrel truly was loved by everyone humans and animals alike. He never met a stranger and if he did, they didn't stay that way for long. He made everyone feel like family and always found a way to include them in his life. Darrel’s greatest pride in his life was his family, his wife and children. He was a man of great faith who always led his life with honesty, loyalty and integrity. Darrel worked hard to pass these traits on to his children. He loved big, loud, hard and let's be honest, almost obnoxiously at times. Darrel will be missed beyond measure by all who knew him for many years. Darrel is survived by his wife Melissa (Rosser) Hurlburt of twenty-two years and their three beautiful daughters; Destiny, Krista and Emma, son; Eian Hurlburt, sister; Annie Hurlburt of Crawford, Texas, along with countless friends and family. He is received into heaven by his Father, Darrel "Butch" Sr. His Mother, Belinda Hurlburt and Grandmother Billy Morris.
