Darrell Wayne Neuman

Darrell Neuman, lifetime resident and farmer of Coryell City, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, after a brief stay at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Christopher Richmann officiating.  The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Darrell Wayne Neuman was born on April 5, 1959 to the late Jerry and Norma Sandhoff Neuman in Clifton, Texas.  He grew up in Coryell City and attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1977.  He dedicated his life to working on the family farm and raising cattle. His spare time involved trips to both Louisiana and Oklahoma and teaching his grand-nephew about farming and ranching.  

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his sister, Diana Smith and husband, Jay; nieces, Christen Wright and Rachel Smith; and grand nephew D.W. Wright.  

In lieu of flowers, Darrell’s family requests that memorials be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund, 10801 FM 929, Gatesville, TX 76528.
