David Chris Henshoher

David Chris Henshoher, age 70, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Catholic Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Gatesville.  Graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. David was born on December 26, 1947 in Oakland, California.  He attended school in Reno, graduating in 1969.  He married Frances Spath on August 30, 1974.  David joined the US Army, and served for 23 years, which included the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, and as a dining facility manager.  During his tour in Vietnam, David received two bronze medals. He enjoyed his time with family, especially with his granddaughters.  He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  David was a member of The Knights of Columbus and the DAV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Betty (Taylor) Vlahovich. David is survived by his wife, Frances Henshoher; daughter, Faith Barcroft and husband Jack; son, Luke Henshoher and wife Lori; grandchildren, Aubrey Barcroft and Megan Barcroft and sister, Sharon Vlahovich.
