Elizabeth Charlotte McCorkle

Elizabeth Charlotte McCorkle, age 98 of Mound, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024.

She was born Lieselotte Amalia Antlitz on October 1, 1926, in Dusseldorf, Germany to Otto Heinrich Antlitz and Anna Marie (Wagner) Antlitz. She came with her family to America in 1928 and settled in New York City. Her name Lieselotte was changed to its English translation of Elizabeth Charlotte.

After graduating high school she moved to Dayton, Ohio to work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she met her future husband, Quentin Glenn McCorkle. They moved to Texas in 1950 and lived in Mound, Texas. They raised four sons, Gary, Eric, Alan, and Brian McCorkle.

She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter, Lisa McCorkle. She is survived by her sons, four grandchildren, Kelli, Lara, Justin, and Colin, and seven great-grandchildren.
