Gary J. Zalewski

Gary J. Zalewski, 86, of Gatesville, formerly of Michigan passed away at his home on Saturday, August 6, 2022 with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. Graveside services with military honors will be held at a later date at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Gary was born August 1, 1936 in Haslett, Michigan, just outside of Lansing, to Theodore Joseph and Edna Marie (Hogle) Zalewski. He was one of 14 children born to the Zalewskis. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was in the 82^nd Airborne Division.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Sue Zalewski; sons Gary and Murray; and daughters, Dena and Gina.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Lynda, Connie, Peggy and Diane; sons, Arthur, Carl, George, Ronald, Donald, and Pete; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
