Gordon Leslie Williams

Gordon Leslie Williams, age 56 of Gatesville, passed away on the afternoon of December 28, 2019. A Celebration of Gordon’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Gordon was born on January 9, 1963 in Brady, TX to Danny Williams. He grew up and attended school in Brady graduating with the class of 1981.  Gordon worked for the MHMR in Brady, TX during their workshops.  He also worked at Goodwill in Abilene for several years before joining his father on the road.  For 15 years Gordon and Danny traveled the state of Texas doing job training and safety for Texas Electric Cooperative. Gordon was a gifted child with Down syndrome. He loved hunting most of all and when he was able he also liked to go bowling. Gordon also had a special love for riding his four-wheeler. Gordon was strong in his faith and loved serving St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where he was an acolyte for many years.   

He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides.

Gordon is survived by his parents, Danny and Pamuella Diane Williams; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be given to Blue Bonnet Hospice 307 Londonderry Waco, TX 76712 and Hillside Medical Lodge, 300 TX-36, Gatesville, TX 76528.

The Family would like to extend a thank you to Coryell Memorial Hospital and staff and EMT’s for their care of Gordon.

Dr. Gibby, Dr. Bates, Dr. Ellis, and Dr. Walker for their extra special attention and love given to Gordon.
