Helen Davidson Golden, age 90, of Plano, formerly of Mound, went to meet her Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2018 at Mound Cemetery followed by services at 11:00 a.m at White Mound Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Cox officiating. Helen Joyce Davidson Golden was born in Mound, Texas to Holice Ambroze Davidson and Ann Folsom Davidson. She grew up in Mound and graduated from Gatesville High School where she was a majorette in the band. She attended Baylor University for two years. After college, she married Loyde Fowler and moved to Dallas where she had her two sons, Gary and Greg. They moved to Houston and raised their sons for the next sixteen years. In 1970, Helen moved back to Mound and became very involved in White Mound Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for several decades. Reading and crossword puzzles were her favorite pastime. She was known for her wonderful book reviews of which she was always willing to give when asked. She served as President of the Coryell Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. In 1990, she married Arthur Golden. They had many wonderful years together and loved to travel. After Arthur’s death in 2005, she moved back to Plano to be near her son, Gary. Helen was an exceptional lady in every way. She was such a positive inspiration to everyone that knew her. She will be truly missed by all.She was preceded in death by her parents, Holice and Ann Davidson; daughter, Janyce Ann Fowler; and grandson, Ryan Edward Fowler.Helen is survived by her sons, Gary Davidson Fowler and wife, Linda of Florida and Gregory Loyde Fowler of Dallas; grandchildren, Janyce Gardner and husband, Pete of Heath, Texas, Ross Fowler of Kentucky, and Bryce Fowler of Italy; great-grandchildren, Laura, Ashley, Kyle, and Bailey; great-great-grandchild, Vada; brother, David Folsom Davidson and wife, Julia of Dallas; nieces, Becky Pegram and husband, Ronnie, Deanne May and husband, Jim; and nephew, Bobby Davidson and wife, Christy.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Mound Baptist Church, P.O.
