Iva Louise Wolfe

Louise Wolfe, 81 of Gatesville, Texas passed away Monday, February 5, 2024. 

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville with James Baize officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour before the services at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. 

Iva Louise Wolfe was born on June 15, 1942, to Nolan and Ivalene Pruitt in Turnersville, Texas. She graduated from Turnersville High School and married Jerry Wolfe on June 7, 1958. Louise was employed for 32 years with the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

Louise enjoyed playing BINGO, golf, going to the movies and was an avid fan of Baylor Bear basketball. She loved to travel. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and enjoyed life together with her sisters. She also had a special love for her baby brother.

Louise will be sadly missed by family and friends, her dog Tipsy, who ate her biscuits, and her other dog Little Bit.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Ivalene Pruitt; husband, Jerry Wolfe; sisters, Darlene Anderson and husband, Andy; Barbara Dyer and husband, Billy; nephews, Bill Dyer and Travis Pruitt; and brother-in-law, Dick Gellasch. 

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Carrigan and husband, Mickey; grandsons, Kevin Mathis and Tyler Carrigan; sister, Nelda Gellasch; brother, Larry Pruitt and wife, Cheryl; nephews, Rick Wolfe, Rodney Wolfe and Clint Pruitt; niece, Jill Cockrell; great-nieces, Bridgette Bartek, Elizabeth (Star) Pruitt and son, Camden.
