Jackie Bird

 Jackie Bird, age 65, of Oglesby, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Rev. Wray Nunn officiating.  Burial will follow at Davidson Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral services. Jackie was born on November 8, 1952 in Gatesville, Texas to Newt Bird and Melba Simons Bird.  He grew up and attended school in Gatesville.  Jackie married Pam McQueen on June 29, 2002.  He enjoyed his family, his best friend and dog, Snoopy, playing guitar, listening to music, repairing vehicles, and restoring vintage vehicles. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Bird.Jackie is survived by his wife, Pam Bird; daughters, Misti Veal and husband, Edwin of Oglesby and Brandy Ford of Waco; sister, Sandra Thomas of Stephenville; grandchildren, Delaney Perez, Tristan Perez, Abby Perez, Zayne Perez, Felicia Ford, Steven Pullin, and Patricia Pullin; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
