Jackie Featherston

Jackie Featherston, age 69 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Conger officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenbriar Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the funeral home.  For those unable to attend, Mrs. Featherston’s services will be livestreamed at the link below her obituary at www.scottsfh.com.

Jacquelyn Sue Featherston was born on November 1, 1953 in Ft. Worth, to the late William Alexander and Vera Gladys DeFrance Aslin.  She grew up in Terrell and graduated from Terrell High School in 1972.  She married James W. Featherston, Sr. in 1978.  He preceded her in death in 2017.  She worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for almost 30 years, until her retirement.  She enjoyed riding horses, participating in rodeos and trail rides.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dana Featherston; and a son, J. W. Featherston, Jr.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Carrie Perez and husband, Tony, Tricia Featherston and fiancé, David; daughter-in-law, Brandy Featherston; grandchildren, Ginger Beck and husband, Garrett, Zachery Raines, Lisa Pimento, Blane Featherston, Alex Chasteen, Levi Featherston, Will Featherston, Elena Perez, Hunter Ryan, Jameson Featherston, Jace Featherston; two great granddaughters, Kaisley Lee, Oaklynn Featherston; and numerous other adopted children and grandchildren.
