Jackie E. Jones

Jackie Eugene Jones age, 73 of Gatesville, passed away on January 15, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Turnersville Cemetery.  Following services at the cemetery, the family will receive visitors at the Turnersville Community Center. Jackie was born on October 6, 1945 in Waco, to the late Jehu and Glada Hollingsworth Jones.  He grew up in Turnersville and graduated from Turnersville High School in 1964.  He was a farmer and rancher and has resided in Turnersville his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy and David Jones. Jackie is survived by three daughters, Shana Latham and husband, Mark, Robin Mayhew and husband, Clay, Tamela Eary and husband, Justin; five grandchildren, Kolton Latham and wife, Amanda, Haley Moore and husband, Wacey, Kendal Latham, Kensley Eary, Dakotah Arellano and husband, Michael; and three great-grandchildren, Ella Latham, Parker Arellano and Mabrey Moore; and dear friend of 35 years, Tanna Jones.
