James D Featherston

James D. Featherston, age 94 of Gatesville, passed away on the afternoon of January 30, 2022 in Gatesville.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am February 9, 2022 at Restland Cemetery with Rev. Wray Nunn officiating.

James was born on April 29, 1927 in Coryell County to the late James Davis and Minnie Featherston. He grew up and attended school in Gatesville. James started to work at a very young age on the family farm. He continued farming most of his adult life and drove a gravel truck. He raised three of his grandchildren which kept him busy most of the time.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Featherston, his daughter Barbara Waller, his sisters Evelyn, Iva, and Rose Lee.

James is survived by his daughters, Norma Featherston and husband, Will, Judy Kelley and husband, William; grandchildren, Judy, Melissa, Sherrie, Bubba, Justin, Cody, Stephanie, Amy, Curtis, and David; numerous great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Justin, Curtis, Cody, Juan, Manny and Justin Ray.
