Janelle Kerr

Janelle Kerr, age 94 of Gatesville, passed away on the afternoon of December 24, 2020. Janelle will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Robert Kerr at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at a later date. A Memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., January 16, 2021 at The Presbyterian Church of Gatesville with the Rev. Dr. Buddy Wheat officiating.

Janelle was born on July 21, 1926 in Gatesville, to the late Thomas Raby Richardson and Ella Wilson. She grew up and attended school in Gatesville. Janelle was married to Robert Kerr on December 29, 1967 in Basel, Switzerland until his death on June 3, 1972. Janelle received her Master’s in Education and worked in education for over 38 years. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Gatesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Thomas Richardson.

Janelle is survived by her niece, Mary Richardson Hiatt and husband, Jerry of Southlake; nephew, Thomas Henry Richardson of Missouri City; special friends, Linda Davis, Claudia Carroll and Anita Cater; and many cousins and friends.
