Janice Price

Janice Price passed away peacefully into God’s embrace at the age of 84 at The Meadows in Gatesville, early Christmas morning, with her eldest daughter by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Scott’s Funeral Home, with Steve Gould officiating.  Private family interment will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Janice Loretta Price was born January 18, 1939, in LaGrange and her family moved to Houston.  While commuting to work on a city bus, she met Perry Price and he became the love of her life. They were married on November 15, 1958.  Janice was a talented baker and gardener. She was a devoted wife and mother, dedicating her life and her love to her family. She was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Perry Price; parents, Hans and Bernice Hausmann Herzog; brother, Warren Herzog and his children, Keith and Charlotte; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Janice is survived by her children, Deanna Creighton, Richard Price and wife, Deirdre and Laura Swanson and husband, Carey; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Amelia and William, and many beloved cousins.
