Jean Elizabeth Williamson, age 99 of Georgetown, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024.  

 Visitation with Jean’s family is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Scott’s Funeral Home.  Graveside services at Restland Cemetery will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. 

 Jean was born on July 30, 1924, in Gatesville to the late Jess and Jessie Bone Hill. She attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1941. Her family moved to Waco the day after graduation. While in Waco, Jean attended 4C Business College and worked at a defense plant in McGregor, Texas.  On October 23, 1942, Jean married Joe Francis Williamson. After Joe enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, Jean joined him at military stations located in Denver, Colorado, Laredo, Texas, and Walla Walla, Washington. Jean worked in secretarial and administrative positions while Joe was serving in the military.  

 Joe and Jean made their home and raised their family on a farm near Gatesville from 1946 until Joe’s death in 1988. Jean worked as a secretary for the Texas Department of Health and Human Resources for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She spent her later years residing in Georgetown, Texas with her son Mark and his family. In 1998 she went to work for Wesleyan Homes as a receptionist and retired for the last time in 2004. Jean spent the remainder of her years enjoying her family, watching her grandchildren grow up and have children of their own.  She was an avid sports enthusiast and loved all things Aggie!   She loved God, her family, the Andy Griffith Show, Blue Bell ice cream and Butterfingers!

 Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Joe F. Williamson, and son, Michael Eli Williamson, Sr.

 She is survived by sons, Joe David Williamson and wife, Louise; Mark Alan Williamson and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Angela Hayden and husband, Branden; Ben Williamson and wife, Trisha; Jessica Cole and husband, Randy; Shane Williamson and wife, Rena; Eli Williamson, Jr. and wife, Amanda; Mandy Sandlin and husband, Scott; Megan Johnson and husband, Charles; Stephanie Malay and husband, Andrew; and great-grandchildren, Connor Hayden, Kendall Hayden, Kenzie Williamson, Brantley Cole, Bryce Cole, Peyton Williamson, Tyler Sandlin, Abby Sandlin, Riane Johnson, Molly Johnson, Collins Johnson, Cade Williamson, Brynn Williamson, Evan Revell, Wesley Revell, Josie Revell, Noah Revell; and great-great-grandson Andrew Hughs.
