Jeanette Nixon

Jeanette Nixon, age 87, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018.  Graveside services will be 10:00 am on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Pidcoke Cemetery.Jeanette was born on January 11, 1931 in Odin, Illinois to William A. Reichardt and Minnie Luecking Reichardt.  She married and was a military wife for many years before settling in Pidcoke in 1973.  She was fiercely independent, very outspoken, and generous to a fault.  Jeanette doted on her grandsons and great-grandchildren.  Her family was the most important thing in her life. Jeanette was loved by her many friends and her Pidcoke Community.  She was known as Nana by her family, the Pidcoke police, and the keeper of the creek.Jeanette is survived by her son, Larry Whitworth and wife, Nicky of Tampa, Florida; daughter, Linda Segraves and husband, Jerry of Gateville; grandsons, Drew Segraves and wife, Jennifer of Cedar Creek, Texas, Jared Segraves and wife, Joyce of Gatesville; great-grandchildren, Daci, Garrett, Ashby, Brandt, and Marin Segraves.She will be greatly missed…
