Jerry Keith Brown

 Jerry Keith Brown, age 59 of Flat, passed away on January 16, 2019 in Flat. A Memorial graveside service will be held at 12’ Noon, Friday, January 25, 2019, at Flint Creek Cemetery, with Carlos Webb officiating.  Jerry was born on January 24, 1959 to the late Jesse W. Brown and Willie Maude Roberts.  He grew up and attended school in Gatesville.  After school Jerry went to work roofing with his father and Uncle Doc. Jerry learned a lot from his Uncle Doc and considered him a mentor in his early roofing years. When his father and uncle retired, Jerry went to work for Gilmeister Roofing in Temple. Later in life he went to work for Winn Residential on Ft. Hood, where he worked for over 20 years before recently retiring.  Jerry loved to fish, hunt, and listen to music. Jerry was an Apprentice Mason and in 2016 completed the contributed portion of his initiation. He loved his family and will be truly missed by those who knew him.  He was preceded in death by his wife Wendy Brown in April of 2015; his parents; sisters LaNell Neatherlin, and Bennie Shelton. Jerry is survived by daughters, Amanda Madison and husband Jeff, Kristy Lewis and husband Jesse; five grandchildren, Dakota, Jayden, Emily, Megan and Lex; sisters, Johnnie Whigham and Tommie Tabors and husband Jimmie; brother Ronny Brown of Belton; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
