Jerry Bob Womack

Jerry Bob Womack, age 77 of Gatesville, passed away on May 30, 2024. 

Graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery on Saturday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Wray Nunn officiating.

Jerry Bob was born August 2, 1946, to the late Benita and Lucius Womack. Jerry Bob graduated from Gatesville High School in 1965. He then served in the United States Navy for four years before working as a truck and forklift driver. Jerry Bob spent his younger years in the Austin area and returned to Gatesville in 2021. Jerry Bob was baptized at the 2nd Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend W.M. Carter, which is now known as Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church. Jerry Bob could tell a great story, which may or may not have been true. He loved to go fishing and hunting and loved to travel. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Jerry Bob is survived by his son, Justin Womack, and many cousins and friends. He will be well missed.
