Jimmy Dale Gartman, age 56 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at Turnersville Community Tabernacle, with Rev. Matt Dossey and Clay McClellan officiating.  Interment will follow at Coffey Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7th at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Jimmy Dale was born on July 12, 1965 in Gatesville.  He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1983.  He was a true cowboy all his life and rode bulls in his younger years.  He was a cow trucker and worked for Dwayne Turner Livestock.  Anyone that knew Jimmy Dale, knows that he loved everybody and would often times kiss you and tell you that he loved you.

“Aint no feeling like cowmobiling.”

He was preceded in death by his father, M. D. Gartman.

Jimmy Dale is survived by his mother, Charlotte Gartman; son, Lariat Gartman; daughter, Lane Gartman and fiancé, Benito Martinez; sister, Marion Young and husband, Doug; special friend, Kristie Moreland Pearce; seven grandchildren, Jade, Zoey, Bailey, Joshua, Isabella, Ansel and Sophia; and nephews, Josh and Jacob Young.
