Jimmy Lee

Jimmy Lee, age 85 of Gatesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his home with his family by his side.  

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Restland Cemetery, with Rev. Bob Phillips officiating.

Jimmy was born on April 15, 1935 in the Flat community of Coryell County, to the late John R. and Etta Farris Lee.  He grew up in Flat and graduated from Flat High School in 1953.  He served in the Texas National Guard and the U.S. Army.  He married his love, Fannie Jean Hart December 19, 1974.  He worked for TelemCo at Ft. Hood, retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed hunting and collecting artifacts and arrowheads.

He was preceded in death by children; J. Paul Lee, Betty Hart, Susan Gail Holder; his brothers, Rex Lee, Ray Lee and Joe Lee.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jean Lee; daughters, Rachel Miller, Jackie Dresson; nephews, James Lee and wife, Kay, Mike Lee, Mark Lee and wife, Martha, Greg Lee; niece, Juanita Walkup; great niece, Tanya Stracener, five grandchildren; and multiple great grandchildren.
